Abstract:

The economic insecurity caused by technology-driven automation is partly to blame for growing political polarization across the United States and Europe. The article examines whether automation increases support for the far right, drawing on the authors' working paper 'Automation, Economic Insecurity, and the Rise of the Far Right'.
